Located just an hour's drive from Argostoli, this beach is renowned for its appearance in the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin. The stunning view of the beach from above, coupled with the breathtaking colors of the morning, make for a truly remarkable experience. What's more, the beach is never too crowded, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing day out. However, it's worth noting that parking can be a bit of a challenge, as there are no designated spots and you'll need to park on the side of the narrow road. The final 7km of the journey can also be a bit tricky, with a steep and narrow road that requires careful driving. The beach itself is made up of pebbles and rocks, and is not organized with any facilities such as toilets or bars. While it may be small, it's not crowded, making it a great spot for a quiet day out. Just be sure to bring something soft to place under your beach towel, as the rocks can be quite pointed. One of the best things about this beach is the ample shade provided by the olive trees, which means you can stay cool and comfortable all day long. Even if you arrive later in the day, you should still be able to find a spot to relax and soak up the sun. Finally, the water here is crystal clear and perfect for swimming. While there's not much in the way of snorkeling opportunities, you can still explore the area around the rocks and see some interesting marine life. Overall, this is a great beach for those looking for a peaceful and natural experience.

The beach is a true treasure! I adored every moment of my visit - even the picturesque journey leading up to it. The abundance of natural shade made it an ideal spot for me to bask in the sun all day long 🥰 I arrived early in the day, which meant I had no trouble finding a parking spot. However, I cannot attest to how crowded it may become later on - its popularity is unknown to me.

This beach is undoubtedly a sight for sore eyes, and it's a real treat to drive down to it. The road leading to this paradise is fully surfaced, so you won't have to worry about any potholes or bumps on the way. However, don't get too excited about the prospect of a peaceful day out, as the chances are that you'll be sharing the beach with plenty of other people. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, but that's not often the case. Nevertheless, it's worth a visit if you're in the area and want to soak up some sun and sea.

8 Very good

The crystal-clear water of this beach is perfect for snorkeling and swimming. Even on windy days, the waves are gentle and much milder compared to other areas in Kefalonia. The road leading to the beach is steep, so it's recommended to drive in reverse from the last turn until you reach the parking area. One of the highlights of this beach is the lack of crowds. After mid-afternoon, we had the entire sea to ourselves, making it a truly tranquil and peaceful experience.

This splendid beach boasts a serene and idyllic atmosphere, with stunning scenery that is sure to take your breath away. Its pristine waters are so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom, and the beach is dotted with large, smooth pebbles that add to its natural charm. It is advisable to wear rock shoes when exploring the beach, as the pebbles can be slippery. This is an unspoiled paradise, with no amenities or services, making it the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and bask in the beauty of nature.
