If you're feeling adventurous and want to test your survival skills, try crossing Cemongkak Beach on foot. Just be warned, it's not for the faint of heart. I stumbled upon this treacherous trek via a well-meaning blog post and foolishly thought it would be a leisurely jaunt. Boy, was I wrong. The beach may look like a sandy paradise from afar, but up close it's a rocky, coral-filled nightmare. Unless you're a seasoned climber, you'll spend most of your time trying to avoid getting swept away by the tide. And don't even think about attempting to cross the northern tip of the beach - it's a death trap. Unless you're a fan of near-death experiences, I recommend skipping this particular adventure.

Getting to the beach requires a bit of effort, but it's definitely worth it.
