Canggu Beach

Canggu Beach in Bali is a captivating paradise for beach enthusiasts. Its rugged coastline, surrounded by lush greenery, creates a picturesque setting that is absolutely breathtaking. Whether you're a surfer riding the waves or a sunseeker relaxing on the golden sands, Canggu Beach has something to offer everyone. The lively local culture and diverse beachfront bars and cafes contribute to its charm. As the sun sets below the horizon, the beach transforms into a mesmerizing display of colors, making it a top destination for those chasing sunsets. This peaceful and idyllic stretch of coastline perfectly captures the essence of Bali's natural beauty and relaxed allure, making it a must-visit for any traveler exploring this heavenly island.

I stopped by on my way back to Ubud and it was great to be close to the ocean. I'm really curious to witness it during high tide. There weren't many swimmers, mostly surfers.

The beach itself is absolutely incredible, with great waves and plenty of surfers. It remains very clean throughout the dry season, and in the evenings, you'll often see adorable dogs happily playing around. However, the noise is simply unbearable! It's truly disappointing how the beach clubs in Bali ruin the peaceful atmosphere by playing loud music all day long. It's difficult to understand why they would do this, as people come to the beach to enjoy its tranquility, not the loud music. I can't stand it; it's definitely the noisiest beach in Bali, without a doubt.

Echo beach holds a special place in my memories. I had visited it before the pandemic, and ever since restrictions were lifted and tourists began flocking in again, I noticed significant changes in the beach. However, it remains a great spot to witness breathtaking sunsets and reminisce about fond memories.

This beach may not be the most stunning or pristine one I've ever seen, but if you're looking to catch some awesome waves for surfing, take long walks or runs, and relax near a variety of restaurants and cafes, then Canggu is the perfect choice. I appreciated the fact that there were many tourists and European visitors as well. Additionally, there are restaurants with live music, pools, and great sea views. It's worth mentioning that there is a large parking area available for just 2k for the entire day, as well as showers and toilets for 5k. Despite not being overly crowded, the beach is spacious enough for everyone to find their own spot.
