Our visit to Chinamans Beach left us with mixed feelings. The rocky shore was a letdown, but the shallow waters provided a unique experience, particularly for shorter individuals. Unfortunately, the presence of boats, including ice-cream vendors, brought an unpleasant diesel smell that detracted from the swimming experience. Despite its small size, the beach has a certain crowded charm, so arriving early is crucial. The nearby picnic area is a standout feature, though it lacks shade, making a tent a good idea. Convenient parking close to the picnic area is a definite plus. In summary, Chinamans Beach offers a quaint yet crowded coastal getaway with some notable downsides.
