This secluded beach is definitely for the adventurous souls out there. The only way to access it is through a narrow dirt channel that leads to a set of steps that are only visible during low tide. Once you arrive, you'll find a rocky coastline with a narrow strip of sand that spans about five meters. The sea is filled with stones, so it's not the best place for swimming. But if you're looking for a quiet spot with few people around, and you're up for a bit of a challenge, then this is the perfect place for you.

4 Frustrating

The path to the pebble beach can only be reached by a narrow tunnel and a small ladder, so it's recommended to wear sea shoes. However, even after 9 years since my first visit, I was disappointed to see that the area surrounding the path was littered with rubbish and old, run-down sheds. I would only suggest visiting if you are prepared for potential disappointment.

When you step out of the train station, take a right instead of heading left towards the town. Follow the path all the way down to the shoreline. Although the pebble beach may be narrow and challenging to navigate, it has the benefit of being a peaceful and serene location.

As you stroll along the path, you can't help but notice the dilapidated shacks that line the way, which appear to be nothing more than havens for homeless drug addicts. I even caught sight of a few rats scurrying about. The entrance to the supposed beach is blocked off with a fence displaying an expired permit, leaving one to wonder what could have been. It's a pity for the community to see such a sight.
