Spiaggia Raganzino

Pozzallo is a destination that may not offer much in terms of activities, but its beach alone is worth the trip. During our visit in September, the weather was still hot and the water was surprisingly warm - it felt like we were getting into a jacuzzi! The sand was incredibly soft, unlike anything we had ever experienced before. If you plan to spend the day in Pozzallo, be prepared for the rhythms of Sicilian life. When we arrived at 10am, everything seemed to be closed. There were few options for breakfast, so it's best to eat beforehand or bring some light snacks. Most restaurants open for lunch between 12:30-14:30 and then close for a few hours. The city comes alive again around 5-6pm, when shops and restaurants reopen. We only found one souvenir shop during our visit, but it gave us a glimpse into traditional Sicilian life. Overall, Pozzallo is a must-visit destination solely for its stunning beach. It's unlike any other beach we've experienced and is truly a natural wonder.

This shoreline boasts a lustrous expanse of sand that glows like gold in the sun. The beach is both expansive and immaculate, with ample room for lounging and relaxation. Visitors have the option to enjoy the open space or take advantage of the amenities provided, including comfortable umbrellas and deck chairs, all while being assisted by friendly and accommodating staff. Even furry friends are welcomed here, as long as they are kept on a leash for safety.

The beach is quite expansive and offers a convenient shower service at the exit. It has also been designed to accommodate individuals with disabilities by providing a sizable gazebo and a tiled path that leads from the seafront to the beach. The water is crystal clear and the beach is well-maintained, which makes for a truly refreshing and enjoyable experience.

My personal preference lies with the Ragazzini beach over the Pietre Nere beach in Pozzallo. The former is located in a more protected area, away from the port, resulting in a serene and tranquil sea. On numerous occasions, the water appears so calm that it resembles a luxurious swimming pool. It is a sight to behold and a treat for all beach enthusiasts. ❤️❤️❤️

We strolled along the serene beach, which was not restricted or crowded with any queues. The peaceful atmosphere allowed us to simply wait and amble on the soft sand until it was time to embark on our next adventure.
