After being turned away from a nearby beach that was exclusive to a hotel, we stumbled upon this hidden gem and were grateful for it. The beach is situated on a rocky part of the harbor and consists of suspended boardwalks adorned with various types of beach beds, each with a different price tag.
We opted for a front row double bed for €40, which may seem steep, but is actually quite reasonable compared to the prices of beach beds and umbrellas in other parts of Puglia. The added bonus of table service from a professional bar made it all the more worthwhile. The beds are equipped with retractable covers for shade and bedside tables for drinks and snacks.
The crystal clear water is perfect for swimming straight off the pontoons, and we found ourselves spending the entire day there. When it came time for dinner, we discovered that they also have an evening restaurant and decided to stay for supper. We were delighted with our lobster tagliatelle and complimentary squid entrees.
Overall, this beach exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing day by the water.
