I was absolutely enamored with this stunning beach, and the exceptional staff, particularly Ali, made my experience all the more enjoyable. The crystalline waters were pristine and inviting, beckoning me to take a refreshing dip.

Ah, the public beach, where the crowds gather like seagulls fighting over a scrap of bread. Afternoons are particularly hectic, so if you're looking for a peaceful spot to sunbathe, you might want to consider a more secluded location. But hey, at least it won't cost you a penny to access the sand and surf. Just be prepared to fork over some cash if you want to enjoy the amenities provided by the various independent vendors on site. And speaking of cash, keep a close eye on your belongings, lest they fall prey to the wily ways of the beach boys. But all in all, the beach is pretty chill, with a refreshing breeze to cool you off on those scorching summer days.

6 Pleasant

This beach is really nice as long as it's not too busy. However, for those who are visiting for the first time, it's important to be cautious of the lifeguards, boat crew, and vendors renting out swimming equipment. Their prices are very high and they may try to take advantage of your lack of experience. It's best to ask questions before making any purchases and to keep a close eye on your personal belongings. Otherwise, just relax and enjoy the beach, but be careful.

This public beach is conveniently located just off Malindi road and offers easy access. Upon arrival, you'll find vendors selling African souvenirs and swimwear. Friendly guides are available to assist with water activities or renting floaters, and they can also direct you to changing facilities. If you're interested in professional photos, photographers are available. Beach chairs are available for rent if you'd like to relax and enjoy the ocean, and vendors selling madafu are nearby. For a fee, you can even ride a camel along the beach. There are several hotels in the area, including Milele Hotel (non-alcoholic and non-smoking), Pirates Hotel, and The New Big Tree Hotel (allowing both drinking and smoking). Local women sell food at shelters known as kibanda, and Pirates Beach is a beautiful and free spot to spend time with loved ones and swim.
