Ah, the pink sand beach on Harbour Island - a true gem in the Bahamian waters. This stunning stretch of sand is quite lengthy, and it's a good thing that the resorts are perched up high, allowing for an unobstructed view of the gorgeous shoreline. You won't find an overwhelming amount of chairs and umbrellas cluttering up the beach, but there are enough for guests to bask in the sun and enjoy the crystal-clear waters. The beach itself is simply breathtaking and is the perfect spot to take in the beauty of Harbour Island. Of course, one mustn't forget that staying at the resorts may come with a hefty price tag, but a day trip from Eleuthera is always an option.

We have been visiting Harbour Island for over 30 years and have tried out every hotel and rental house on the island. This time, we were looking for a magical dream location after being locked down in NYC for 1.5 years due to the pandemic. We craved greenery like we had never seen before, with a fresh, fragrant and breezy ocean view. The service was lovely and the location was beautiful, with baby powder-like sand beneath our feet. The sand was so pink! I spoke with Kym, the manager, on the phone after booking the hotel and he was thoughtful, responsive, and detail-oriented. When we arrived, he and the enthusiastic and pleasant crew met us at the reception. The room we had booked had a view of the ocean, and as I write this, I am still enjoying the view. This was not our first stay at the Pink Sands, in fact, it was our 10th, but it was hands down the best experience

While it may not be the most amazing beach in the world, it's definitely worth a visit. Your friends and family will probably want to check it out, but don't expect the same colors you saw on social media. If you live on the east coast of North America, it's definitely worth considering. During my visit, I met a group of retirees who had traveled from China, the USA, and the Bahamas, but I would personally choose a more accessible location. Nonetheless, I had a great time on a sunny and windy day in January 2019. The beach was clean and relaxing, with only a few people around and no noisy kids. Drinks were available for purchase, and the staff were incredibly friendly.
