Kanifushi Beach

This resort is absolutely stunning! They recently renovated the entire place, and I must say, it is now one of the top resorts in the Maldives. We stayed in the Ocean Pool Villa and it was absolutely spectacular. The design of the villa was incredibly beautiful and vibrant, and the pool was absolutely breathtaking. Plus, all the ocean pool villas are located on the reef side, so you can easily jump into the sea and snorkel right in front of the stunning reef. We saw black tip sharks and eagle rays every single day! The food at the resort was also really delicious. They have five different restaurants, each offering a different cuisine. We particularly enjoyed the sushi at Kanusan and the Arabic food at Arabian Grill. The island itself is huge and there are so many activities to keep you entertained. You can easily have a long holiday here without ever getting bored. They even have their own sand bank, which is perfect for taking great photos. The dive center at the resort is excellent. During the season, they take you to Hanifaru Bay to dive or snorkel with hundreds of mantas. Make sure to ask if it's the season when you're there, as it's a must-have experience! Lastly, the staff at the resort were absolutely amazing. They were incredibly professional and always ready to help. Our villa was always kept clean, and they even left us little gifts from time to time, which was a really nice touch. The seaplane transfer to the resort was also very pleasant and easy. The resort took care of everything and arranged everything perfectly. They even gave us a late check-in time of 6 pm without us even asking, so we didn't have to wait at the airport due to our late departure flight. We ended up getting an extra day in our beautiful villa, which truly defines luxury.

This beach is the perfect spot for a complete rejuvenation. You have the option to stay in a villa on the water with a private pool or a villa on the beach surrounded by lush plants. There is never a dull moment here, as there is always something to keep you entertained. The hotel staff and team are dedicated to ensuring your experience is unforgettable and will be there to assist you every step of the way. The shape of the island resembles that of a dolphin, so you can expect to see dolphins frequently when gazing out into the ocean. It truly feels like a paradise for island lovers like me!

The Finolhu is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it. The service is exceptional, and the staff made us feel like VIPs from the moment we arrived in Male. The food at all the restaurants exceeded our expectations. Our Overwater Ocean Pool Villa was breathtaking and provided complete privacy. We had a fantastic time swimming and snorkeling right off the main deck. The main pool offered top-notch entertainment every night, along with shisha. The gym was spacious and well-equipped. Snorkeling and other non-motorized sports were complimentary. Our only minor complaint was that we wished the buggie shuttle service to the further Overwater Villas was a bit more frequent. Sometimes we had to wait 15 to 20 minutes, which can be frustrating on a pricey vacation. My wife and I visited the Maldives for the first time in January 2020, and we are definitely planning to return!
