A charming little location at the conclusion of the road. Delightful perspectives of opposing coves.

Wharau Beach Have a wonderful day. Rd was originally a private pathway until the local government constructed a road and designated it as public. We possess only the right to reach the water, not the water itself. Those who are familiar with the area understand this. In addition to Edmonds Ruins, the council acquired numerous acres, leaving behind what is now known as The Ruins. Every location has its own unique history.

Fantastic location for a refreshing swim and leisurely picnic with your loved ones, or a relaxing fishing excursion by the shore. It's important to be mindful of your surroundings and leave no trace behind, only collecting what is necessary. Remember to practice responsible fishing and avoid depleting the fish population.

2 Very poor

Unfortunately, highly overestimated. Evidently, a section of the shoreline is privately possessed, albeit lacking any signage. Who has the privilege of claiming ownership of a portion of our coast? That is unacceptable in my opinion.

Fantastic beach to observe abundant marine life both on the shore and in the surrounding areas. Numerous hermit crabs, various types of crabs, starfish, and rock pool shrimp can be spotted. This beach is perfect for kids to investigate the rocky sections and engage in some climbing activities. Visitors also venture further along the coast to fish from the rocks. Additionally, it serves as an ideal location for snorkeling. The only drawback is the gravel road leading to the beach.
