Loved this beach. One side is a surfers beach with some good waves, but not as rough as the west coast. On the other side you have the small sheltered cove which is good for people that want calmer waters. The small cove does get quite busy. Went there on a weekend and there was limited parking (but just enough). Bring your own refreshments as there is nothing else there.

Great spot - beautiful beach, excellent boogie boarding waves. The lady 7km of the road are gravel but not too bad. Toilets and dump station

What a beautiful place - I felt like a kid in a lollie shop, couldn't wipe the smile off my face - absolutely stunning!! Amazing what you can find at the end of a gravel road. We were there on labour Monday - it was packed - awesome to see so many families set up for the day. Safe secure site - loved it 😊

Probably the most stunning beach in NZ It’s my favorite place. I only feel sorry that I found this beauty of nature too late. And I hope this beautiful beach stays forever the way it is now. So let our next generation appreciate this natural beauty and feel great about it.
