Such a fantastic beach for long walks with the family and dogs. During low tide, you can venture out for quite a distance and come across some interesting objects. If you’ve had enough of the sand, you can easily head back up to the paved walkway and stop over for a nice cuppa on one of the cafes along Marine Parade.

Initially we went here to watch sunset but because it was cloudy soooo no sunset is visible :((( but i had a great time here with my boyfriend because we had a picnic together with our new stove!! the time we were there it was also windy, hence quite cold. so we didnt went down to the beach at all. we just sat by the picnic table near the park and near the entrance to the beach. can see Kapiti Island from here, and beside the parking area, there's a ferry terminal if you want to go to the island. probably im gonna come here again during clear sky and explore what's there at Kapiti Island.

Quiet and pretty big beach, nice place to have a walk. People go there to walk their dog(s) and it is a pretty nice area to have lunch at.
