This beach is a hidden gem in many ways. The sand in the parking lot was scorching hot, so it's important to wear shoes. We didn't have a shovel, but we managed to dig a hole and the water was surprisingly warm.

It's really nice here. The beach is empty and beautiful. Digging for hot water is much more enjoyable than in Coromandel.

Sunset Beach is our absolute favorite place on earth! We affectionately refer to it as Sunset Beach because, if the weather allows, you can witness the sun setting every single night, all 365 days of the year!

During my visit in Winter, my main purpose was not to experience the Hot Water, but rather to appreciate the natural beauty of the beach and its surroundings. Climbing up the sand dune on either side can be a bit challenging, especially if you're not in good shape. However, I discovered that the beach itself is peaceful and offers stunning views. It's definitely worth a visit even if you're not interested in the Hot Water Beach. Just be aware that during summer, there are warning signs about the sand getting extremely hot. So if you plan to go then, make sure to bring appropriate footwear and consider the well-being of your dog if you're bringing one along.

The beach is absolutely stunning with its vast size. Although we didn't have a chance to search for the hot water, the experience of swimming in the waves made it all worthwhile. Walking over the sand dune was quite challenging due to the scorching hot sand, so it's essential to wear covered shoes. Don't forget to bring a shovel if you're planning to look for the hot water!
