A fantastic spot for hiking with plenty of space. I did come across a few dead fish, which might have been discarded from a fishing vessel.

The beach reserve is a beautiful place to take a stroll, but don't forget about the scenic bush walk and cycle tracks located between the freedom and nzmca camps. The loop walk is a leisurely and peaceful path that winds through planted bush, offering a mostly flat terrain that is perfect for walking or cycling. It also provides a connection to the river track, allowing for a longer and more enjoyable walk or bike ride. The short track is a convenient route to town and offers a pleasant ride. I highly recommend it.

This beach is absolutely incredible, which is why we decided to build a house right here! You should definitely come and experience it for yourself.

The beach is incredibly inviting, with ample parking space for 25 motorhomes and the beach just a stone's throw away. There is a convenient rubbish bin and shared toilets on-site, which are also accessible to the NZMCA park across the road. Additionally, dogs are welcome at this beach, and it is generally very peaceful except for the occasional presence of wekas.

This place is incredibly welcoming. There's ample parking for up to 25 motorhomes, and the beach is just steps away. You'll find a rubbish bin and shared toilets on site, which are also used by the NZMCA park across the road. It's DOG friendly and very quiet, except for the occasional sounds of wekas.
