Wow, I can't even begin to describe how amazing this beach is! We had the pleasure of staying here twice while we were hiking the Abel Tasman trail, and let me tell you, it was hands down the best spot we came across. The beach itself is absolutely stunning, with its golden sand and the most incredible rock formations and rock pools at both ends. It's truly a beautiful place to swim and even set up camp. Speaking of camping, the campsite is quite small, only accommodating six tents, but guess what? We had the entire place to ourselves for both nights! It was such a peaceful and serene experience. I highly recommend paying a visit to this beach, you won't regret it! And if you found this review helpful, please give it a like!

The campsite offers ample space for tents and a flushing toilet. There is also a single picnic table available. Although the running water is not filtered, it can be boiled for use. Anapai Bay, located in Abel Tasman, is quite possibly my most beloved beach. It boasts a stunning shoreline and is rarely crowded with people.

Experience the convenience of sleeping right by the beach, providing a tranquil escape from the bustling crowds with a limited number of only 10 camp spots available. Who knows, you might even have the chance to encounter a friendly seal during your refreshing swim.

Although the walk itself didn't leave a strong impression on me (it feels more like a highway than a hiking trail), the campsite is situated in a charming bay and comes highly recommended. It's noticeably smaller and more intimate compared to the campgrounds located to the north and south. Don't forget to catch the sunrise, it's not to be missed!

There are only six camps and a maximum of twelve people allowed at this beach, making it my favorite campsite in The Abel Tasman. Once the day hikers leave around 6pm, the beach becomes practically deserted, giving you the opportunity to have it all to yourself. Although there is a flushing toilet available, there is no drinkable water on site. There is only one tap, and it is recommended to treat the water before drinking. It is advisable to fill up on water in Totoronui.
