As you make your way down the trail towards the beach, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore becomes more prominent, adding to the serene atmosphere. The scenery is breathtaking, but unfortunately, the beauty is marred by the unsightly heap of trash that lies just before the beach. Once you reach the beach, it's hard to ignore the litter that litters the shoreline. Despite this, the view is still stunning and the beach itself is a sight to behold. It's just unfortunate that the amount of garbage detracts from the overall experience.

When venturing to this beach, exercise caution while swimming as sharp coral rocks lurk on both sides of the shoreline, concealed by the high tide. The path leading down to the beach spans approximately a quarter mile and is accompanied by the sounds of howler monkeys. The beach itself is a sight to behold with its breathtaking beauty. However, it's best to steer clear of the river leading to the beach as it can be deceptively deep. Lastly, be mindful of the park ranger's announcement that the beach closes at midnight.

The beach offers pristine sandy shores and crystal-clear azure waters, complemented by a plethora of mature trees providing ample shade to bask in. For the adventurous, donning a mask and snorkel is a must to witness the awe-inspiring sea life that this area has to offer. Despite its breathtaking beauty, the beach remains relatively uncrowded. While it's true that there is some litter in the Mangroves and Forest, it's not a significant issue. Being a remote location, garbage from all over the Caribbean tends to accumulate here. Nonetheless, the shoreline and water remain unpolluted, making it an ideal spot for swimming. We had an incredible time, even bringing our furry friends along. If you plan on exploring beyond the sandy shores, be sure to pack sturdy water shoes to venture out onto the coral rock.

The beach would be truly magnificent if only it were maintained in a pristine condition, free from any kind of waste or litter. It is quite unfortunate to observe people carelessly discarding trash and even needles on this beautiful stretch of sand.

For those seeking a serene and peaceful setting for a refreshing swim, Fort Sherman's beach is an ideal destination. The crystal-clear waters are pristine and the abundance of palm trees provide ample shade to escape the scorching sun. As the day progresses, the tide rises, making it challenging for inexperienced swimmers to navigate. However, the breathtaking scenery is worth admiring from the shore to avoid any potential hazards.
