Although Lagos has many other beautiful spots, this beach stands out with its mesmerizing arch featuring two natural windows. The view from above and the land is simply breathtaking, surpassing even the view from the sea. This beach is a true gem waiting to be discovered.

Praia da Marinha is a picturesque and iconic beach situated along the Algarve coast, earning its place among the top 5 most stunning beaches in Portugal and the top 10 in the world. Its mesmerizing beauty has made it a sought-after location for photo shoots and reports. Surrounded by cliffs that have been weathered over time, the beach boasts a plethora of natural rock formations, including arches, caves, and wells. The most awe-inspiring of these formations stands at a towering 50 meters, with smaller rocks dancing around it. The contrast between the turquoise sea and golden rocks creates a breathtaking view. The rocky walls of Praia da Marinha conceal a diverse marine life, such as anemones, sea urchins, starfish, and shrimp. The algae provide a hiding spot for cuttlefish and octopus. The beach offers an absolutely breathtaking vista that is truly picturesque from any perspective. The 1.5km trek to the beach is definitely worth it, but be mindful of the scorching heat that can be unbearable during the afternoon. It is highly recommended to wear a hat and comfortable footwear to ensure a comfortable journey.

This beach located in Algarve is a true gem. While parking is free, it's best to arrive early as the beach is a popular destination. However, the journey down to the beach can be a bit challenging and takes approximately 10 minutes. Once you reach the bottom, the breathtaking views from the top are absolutely worth it. Additionally, you can rent a kayak and explore the well-known Benagil cave from the beach. Overall, this beach is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable and picturesque experience.

The trail leading to Benagil on the cliffs is quite pleasant for a leisurely stroll. However, parking may be a bit of a challenge as it is limited. But don't worry, some locals offer private parking for a small fee. I highly suggest taking a walk along the top of the cliffs, which should take no more than 30 minutes each way. It's a perfect way to enjoy the beautiful scenery and soak up the sun. 😎
