Unfortunately, the shoreline was enveloped in an abundance of seaweed, resulting in a disheartening sight of a completely black beach. The pungent scent of the seaweed was detectable even from the top of the cliff, which deterred us from descending to the beach. However, there is a silver lining as there is another magnificent beach, Leixão des Gaivotas, that can be accessed by a ladder a short distance along the coast towards Carvoeiro. I strongly suggest visiting this beach instead as it will not disappoint.

This beach may seem delightful at first glance, but don't be fooled by its charm. The only way to access it is by risking life and limb, as the treacherous path requires a rope ladder and a death-defying descent. We ultimately made the wise choice to spare ourselves the danger and disappointment.

This secluded beach is a true gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. While the journey to get there may require some sturdy footwear, the reward of reaching this serene destination is well worth the effort. The peaceful atmosphere is unmatched, with plenty of space to bask in the tranquility. Despite being in Algarve, the water temperature in July was surprisingly pleasant, making it an ideal spot to cool off.

This beach is truly remarkable and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the world. The only way to reach it is by descending a steep slope and then using a ladder to make your way down. However, the journey is absolutely worth it.

The beach is absolutely stunning! It can only be reached by climbing down a single ladder, which adds to its tranquil atmosphere and makes it a perfect spot for the more daring visitors. The ocean floor is covered in rocky formations, so it's advisable to wear suitable footwear to fully enjoy this natural wonder.
