Circus beach

The beach in the city was supposed to be a haven of relaxation, but my experience was far from it. I had assumed that the sunbeds were free to use, but I was mistaken. To my surprise, the lifeguard, Ruslan, informed us that the spots where we had been lounging for the past four days had already been reserved. It was frustrating to learn that there was no mention of booking in the beach rules. Sadly, I cannot recommend Sochi as a summer getaway to my friends, as there seems to be no space for us here.

The beach I visited was quite pleasant and cozy, with pebbles lining the shore. However, I must mention that unless you're staying at one of the nearby hotels, you'll have to shell out a hefty sum for a sunbed. In 2021, the prices for a sunbed with a mattress were exorbitant, at 600 rubles per day. Personally, I don't believe it's worth the cost.

The Old Sochi beach boasts a narrow coastline that can be quite challenging to navigate during the summer months. Finding a spot to lay a towel can be a daunting task due to the high volume of visitors. However, the beach is surrounded by numerous cafes and shops that offer a variety of food, drinks, and beach essentials. The beach is also in close proximity to the arboretum and the state circus, making it a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The promenade is always bustling with people, much like Tverskaya Street in Moscow during the holidays. Despite the crowds, the overall impression of the beach and promenade is positive, and Sochi continues to grow more beautiful with each passing year. In comparison, the Cote d'Azur in France seems to lose its charm with time.

Good public beach with convenient amenities such as showers, changing rooms, and lifeguards. Visitors can also rent water bikes, motorcycles, and enjoy thrilling activities like trips on cheesecakes, banana boats, and parachuting. Along the coast, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops to keep visitors satisfied. However, the beach's poor improvement is a downside, with only plastic sunbeds and a canopy to offer. The large pebbles on the beach and in the sea make entering the water and walking on the beach quite painful. The cost of sunbeds is also steep, at 300 rubles per person for the whole day, and 1200 rubles daily for a family of four. The view of the beach is obstructed by hanging swings with rectangular umbrellas, which are often unused due to their hourly rental cost of 150 rubles. Perhaps the city chiefs of the Krasnodar Territory could take a lesson from Turkey and European Black Sea resorts to improve the overall beach experience.

Nestled in a quaint cove, this charming beach is split into two distinct sections. On one side, the shore is composed of smooth pebbles, while the other boasts a fine, almost sandy texture. Despite its popularity among tourists, there are ample opportunities to secure a secluded spot to bask in the sun and soak up the tranquil atmosphere.
