Secret beach

This place is like paradise! The customer service here is exceptional! Our stay here, which included everything, was absolutely perfect. We felt like we were in our own little world. The beach is exclusive, so we didn't have to struggle to find chairs or a nice spot by the beach or pool! The food is outstanding, and every morning there was fresh juice available. I especially enjoyed having at least 4 tall glasses of fresh carrot juice and watermelon juice. We rented jet skis from the resort next door, and it was an enchanting experience! My husband and I had an amazing day at the spa, where we had a couples massage. We absolutely adore this place! I can't find anything negative to say about it, Secrets is truly incredible! I highly recommend it.

After reading some reviews, we almost canceled our reservations, but I have to say that we were really impressed! We decided to go there to celebrate my 30th birthday and have our first vacation alone since our daughter turned one. It turned out to be the best thing ever! The resort is just the right size, not too big and not too small. This makes the experience more personal, as the staff remembers you and greets you by name, treating you like family, since there aren't thousands of guests. The beach is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are nice and clean, and I especially loved the convenient little doorbell system they had in place. They clean the rooms daily and restock the mini bar and snacks, which was a nice touch. One major plus for us was that they actually serve top shelf and mid shelf liquor, which most resorts don't do! Alicia, who works at the lobby bar, was our favorite! We loved her! The only complaints I have are that everything shuts down at 12, so if you're looking to party all night, this isn't the place for you. They take reviews very seriously, so they try to accommodate everyone by ending the entertainment and excitement by 10:30-11. Another downside is the limited food options. Although they have many restaurants on site, only one is open each night. However, if it's a la carte, the great thing is that all the food is made to order and served piping hot. The buffet wasn't that great, but I had expected that based on the reviews, so it wasn't too disappointing. They are actively working on improving the place, but honestly, it doesn't need much improvement! I want to thank the staff for making our vacation so memorable!

It's an incredibly hidden gem that you wouldn't expect to stumble upon while driving down a one-way road. Situated at the bottom, in close proximity to the mountains and a secluded cove/lagoon that only guests of the resort have access to. The beach is impeccably clean, ranking second to none other than Hawaii. There are no rocks in the ocean, just silky sand. The best part, however, is the food! As visitors from the USA, we found the French-inspired menus to be absolutely delightful and consistently amazing throughout the entire week. Secrets is located on the north side of the island, which is owned by the French. There were probably only about 20 people staying at the hotel when we went. This is an ideal destination for honeymooners seeking privacy and quality time alone; no joke!!!

First and foremost, many negative or mediocre reviews are from people who come to this resort with high expectations of a luxurious, top-notch experience. While this Secrets may not exceed your expectations, it certainly provides a pleasant stay. Depending on the season, there may not be many food options available. However, compared to other all-inclusive resorts on the island, the food quality and variety at the buffet were still excellent. There is a bar open all day long, whether by the pool or near the lobby. The room was nice, although the only complaint was that the water pressure from the overhead shower could have been stronger (the handheld shower head worked fine). Snacks and drinks are included and replenished. Although the beach may not be the most beautiful on the island, it is quite secluded with stunning mountain views surrounding it. There is a jet ski and kayak service in the middle of the beach. The pool is truly remarkable and the best we have ever seen or used, thanks to the lush greenery and mountains that enhance its beauty. The resort is located on the other side of a large mountain, so you will need a car to explore beyond the premises, although there are a few shops and restaurants just a couple of minutes away. All in all, if you are seeking a relaxing stay with good food, drinks, and a fantastic pool, this is an excellent choice.

My husband had booked this trip for my birthday on June 22nd, but we arrived a day earlier on the 21st. The room that he had reserved was a swim out suite. However, upon entering the room, we discovered that the shower was causing the entire bathroom to flood! They sent a maintenance worker with a plunger, but unfortunately, the issue was not resolved. To make matters worse, when we took another shower, the flooding happened again! As a result, they had to relocate us to a different room on the actual day of my birthday. It was quite an inconvenience to spend my entire birthday moving from one room to another. The new room they assigned us to had no water in the sink or shower! So now we are stuck in this outdated and poorly maintained room without any water. We can't even take a shower or brush our teeth. Adding to our frustration, the manager always seems to be on lunch break, and no one can assist us until she returns. We have been stuck in the room for hours, unable to shower or get dressed for our boat ride reservation. This resort is absolutely terrible, and I strongly advise against booking here! We have traveled extensively around the world, and we have never encountered such a dreadful experience before. This resort is simply unacceptable! It is definitely not worth the amount of money my husband paid. The rooms are outdated, and the resort itself is in a sorry state. Save your money and choose another destination! This has been the worst birthday trip I have ever had.
