Petite Anse Kerlan Beach

A beautiful, tranquil beach. However, the waves were too high for snorkeling.

Not open to the public, despite legal requirements stating it should be.

The beach remains inaccessible from land for those not staying at the Lemuria hotel, as the surrounding area is private property (despite the beach itself being public). Security personnel at the gate will prevent entry. Consequently, the beach can only be accessed from the sea.

All beaches in Seychelles are public, but Lemuria makes it quite challenging for people to access their territory. Our favorite spot on Praslin was Petite Anse Kerlan (Lemuria Hotel). However, you need to call a few hours in advance to make a reservation in order to enter the hotel grounds. We recommend making a reservation at the Takamaka bar, The Nest restaurant, or any other spot within Lemuria. Once you reach the beach, just enjoy your time there! No one will bother you. The drinks at the bar are actually quite nice. At Petite Anse Kerlan, you'll find amazing snorkeling opportunities with plenty of small and big fish, octopuses, crampfish, sea urchins, turtles, harmless little sharks, and much more. And don't forget to enjoy the stunning sunsets!

Despite the promise that all beaches in the Seychelles are publicly accessible, this particular beach was not open to outsiders. Although the resort owning the surrounding area of this beach grants access to Anse Georgette upon request, access for outsiders is only sporadically available. The hotel staff did not specify any conditions for access.
