Hai Duong beach is still in its natural state, with only a few basic amenities and some questionable shops. The ocean is stunning, situated behind a large sand dune. To get there, just search for directions to the Hai Duong beach embankment.

This beach is great for both kids and adults, and the seafood is reasonably priced. One of the best experiences is camping near the lighthouse and watching the sunrise.

Hai Duong Beach is a popular tourist destination near Hue city. Located in Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue province, it covers an area of 9.98km2 and is 15km east of the city center. To get there, you can take Highway 49 towards Thuan An beach and turn left at the signpost for Tam Giang. Then, continue straight for 5km across Tam Giang bridge to the junction and turn right. Finally, drive through Thai Duong Thuong and Thai Duong Ha villages to the end of the road. Visitors to Hai Duong Beach are captivated by its simple and rustic beauty. The whispering waves, endless stretches of sand, and blue water with creatures swimming on the seabed create a wonderful natural scenery. There is also a long breakwater covered with green moss, standing tall like a majestic mountain.

The beach is protected from rough seas by a long molo, and if you walk up north along the shore, you'll likely have it all to yourself. There are a few eateries nearby, nothing too fancy, but they serve up traditional Vietnamese fare. I haven't tried the food there yet.
