I walked from Vallehermoso to a tranquil, secluded spot in just 45 minutes - it was like the boy in Luis Gongora's poem 'Solitude' drifting to the shore. The heat was palpable and the view of La Palma was spectacular, with the waves crashing against the shore. What's more, the beach was easily accessible, making it the perfect destination for a peaceful escape.

This location was a major letdown. The pool was closed and desolate, the sea was too rough for swimming, and there were no facilities. It was a real pain, especially considering there's a private beach resort nearby in Alojero that only opened a year ago, yet the swimming pool already lies in ruins. A visit here is simply not worth it.

Stony Beach was a letdown. The swimming pool was closed, leaving nothing to do but sit and stare at the sea. It was a waste of time and money, and I wouldn't recommend it.
