This location is uniquely recognizable from the fantastic TV series Foundation. However, what makes it even more fascinating is its rich history. We later stumbled upon some intriguing old photographs of the area, which piqued our curiosity even further and inspired us to delve deeper into its past.

The views from Pescante de Hermigua are absolutely stunning. I highly recommend taking a walk up to this spot. However, I would caution against swimming for those who are inexperienced, as the sea can become quite rough and the waves often reach into the natural pool.

Swimming was perfect today, though I can see how it could be very dangerous during a full moon tide. There are plenty of signs and a red flag warning against swimming, so you enter the water at your own risk. Nonetheless, this is a fascinating historical site and a beautiful spot to relax.

A stunning location. If you plan to swim here, be sure to check the tides. Swimming during high tide can be very dangerous. I personally ended up with some scrapes and bruises after underestimating the waves. Luckily, I wasn't swept over the edge of the pool into the open sea. I later learned from locals that there have been fatalities there this year. The residents of Hermigua are working on an initiative to reopen the area and enhance its safety. It would be fantastic if this could be achieved someday. (Note: The video is not from the day I was swimming there)

The swimming pool, filled with sea water, is truly spectacular. However, getting there involves quite a walk and navigating some slippery rocks, making it a bit of an adventure. It's best to enter the pool when the locals do, as there are dangerous rocks on the open side.
