Playa Barranco del Roque is difficult to access and is not guarded, so be careful with the rocks 🪨. Despite this, it remains surprisingly deserted even in high season. It can be reached from San Juan beach.

Reaching Playa Barranco del Roque requires a short hike along the coast, starting at Playa San Juan. The path is easy, with the exception of a slightly more difficult descent down to the water. Playa Barranco del Roque is a narrow (50 meters) and secluded beach, with large round stones making up the shoreline. Even in high season, this beach is usually deserted, making it a great spot for a peaceful and natural getaway.

This secluded little cove is made up of pebbles and rocks and can be accessed by a sometimes difficult walk from San Juan beach. However, the best part is that it is free to enter for the public! Although swimming is not recommended due to strong currents, this spot is still worth a visit.
