Playa de Usil is located on the
Cantabrian Sea and it is in the
30th place out of 80 beaches in the
Cantabria region
13.4 km away from its center, the city of
Santander. It is one of the beaches of
Mogro settlement, just
1.2 km from its center.
The beach is
located in an urban area.
It is perfect if you have little kids. Not really for swimming since the water is shallow. Although, you can cross it and get to the Valdearenas beach or Liencres and that is something really worth seeing. It is a huge beach which is protected cause of it's natural value to the area. There are huge dunes and a beau park which is full of evergreen trees and areas for picnics and hiking.
Nice beach, easy access. Depending on the tides you can cross, walk and swim a little bit (30 meters) to the dunes on the other side to the open sea. Great for children.
