This beach is truly amazing, with a more laid-back atmosphere compared to the larger and more crowded beaches. We had the pleasure of renting two cozy beach chairs and a lovely umbrella for an incredibly reasonable price of R$20. Plus, we were delighted to find an abundance of affordable drinks being sold by friendly vendors. The views of the Sugar Loaf Mountain were simply breathtaking and added to the overall beauty of this stunning beach.

This beach in Rio may be small in size, but it is just as stunning as the larger ones. It is situated alongside Morro Urca, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. Despite the hustle and bustle of people lining up for the cable cars to Sugar Loaf Mountain, this beach is a hidden gem worth exploring. Additionally, it serves as the starting point for a trail that leads to the top of Morro Urca, where you can choose to either trek back down or take the cable cars. Overall, this is a great beach that offers a unique experience for those looking to escape the crowds.

Ah, the beach nestled among the hills of Rio, what a sight to behold! The vistas are truly breathtaking, with a clear view of the Sugarloaf Bread. However, I must say that the beach itself is quite underwhelming. The sand and water are littered with trash, rendering the experience almost repulsive. I couldn't bring myself to take a dip in the water, and I certainly wouldn't recommend this beach to anyone. Plus, for a beach that claims to be "red," there was nothing particularly crimson about it.

Upon our arrival at 8:30 in the morning, we were greeted by a tranquil atmosphere with minimal crowds. The water was transparent, and we even spotted some fish swimming around. However, as the clock struck 10:30, more visitors began to flock to the beach, and with them came an influx of litter and debris. The once clear water became murky, and swimming was no longer as enjoyable. Despite this, the waves were much gentler compared to those found at Copacabana or Ipanema.

4 Frustrating

This beach in Rio is just like any other beach. The greenery around it is nothing special, and the military base that's so close by just reminds you of the dangers lurking in the world. There's nothing unique or exciting about this place, and it's certainly not worth going out of your way to visit.
