Banana Beach offers a range of amenities, including loungers and umbrellas, a beach restaurant, and toilets. For those seeking a bit of excitement, there are plenty of water activities on offer, such as catamarans and jet skis. Best of all, this stunning beach is completely free for all to enjoy.

4 Frustrating

The island was truly breathtaking and I didn't mind paying the 100 baht fee for the convenience of using the chairs and toilets. The water was crystal clear, however, I was disappointed to see a significant amount of litter scattered across the beach, particularly given that it is a serviced island. It was disheartening to witness the burning of plastic waste on the island as well. I hope that Banana Beach will take steps to improve its waste management practices, as even the renowned Phi Phi Island didn't have as much rubbish.

Our excursion with Tata, the tour guide, was an exceptional experience. We had an incredible time, especially during the exhilarating parasailing activity. The food was also satisfying and delicious. If you find yourself in Phuket, Banana Beach is an absolute must-visit. It's a serene and tranquil spot that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and at peace.

Due to Covid restrictions, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Banana Island was not teeming with people. I must say, it was a stunning way to spend the day. We hired a private long boat from Ra Wei (which set us back 1500 baht, but we managed to haggle snorkel masks into the deal). Upon arrival, we were faced with the option of paying either 100 or 300 baht, but the latter came with coupons for food and drink. We managed to snag one of those trendy Instagram-worthy hanging lounges and spent the day snorkeling (with plenty of fascinating fish and sea urchins to spot!), lounging, and swimming. I would definitely recommend this beach as a top pick.
