Caution should be exercised when dining at this restaurant due to double pricing and poor quality. My recent visit to this establishment left me extremely dissatisfied, and I believe it is important to share my concerns.
First and foremost, it is crucial to be mindful of the prices here. When you receive the menu and choose a meal, be sure to carefully remember the listed prices and perhaps even take notes. This caution is necessary because when the bill arrives, you will notice a shocking difference—prices will be doubled without any prior notice or explanation. It is a clear attempt to deceive customers and inflate the final amount.
In addition to the issue of dishonest pricing, the quality of the food itself was terrible. We were genuinely worried about the possibility of being served unsafe or contaminated dishes. The lack of freshness was evident, with the squid dish appearing as if it had been bought pre-packaged from a supermarket.
Furthermore, the restaurant's cleanliness standards were far from satisfactory. To our disappointment, we found a hair in one of the dishes we ordered, indicating a lack of proper hygiene protocols.
To make matters even more strange, the waiter's behavior was unprofessional. Bread and water were brought to our table without our request, and we were charged an outrageous 4 euros for these items alone on the bill. To our surprise, the waiter took our water bottle and poured it to scare away some pets playing below the balcony. It was an uncomfortable and unsettling sight.
Initially, I didn't notice the price difference on the bill. However, upon careful examination and recollection of the menu prices, it became clear that we had been significantly overcharged. After paying approximately 37 euros for three tiny dishes, which I found to be excessively expensive, I persisted in requesting the menu from the waiter. Despite initial resistance, I eventually obtained it. The menu prices were completely different from what we had been charged. It was a clear case of fraud that was only rectified when I confronted them. They reluctantly returned 12 euros, acknowledging that the actual price should have been 25 euros. Even with this adjustment, the cost remained unreasonably high considering the subpar quality of the dishes served.
Considering the deceptive pricing, poor food quality, lack of cleanliness, and unprofessional behavior, I strongly advise against dining at this restaurant. It is unfortunate that such establishments tarnish the reputation of the local culinary scene. Stay vigilant and choose wisely to ensure an enjoyable dining experience in Turkey.
