Shen Andreas Bay

This place is absolutely breathtaking! If you're interested in hiking to the beach, you can begin your journey from Palase. Just look for the church located at the far end of the beach, and that's where you'll start. The path leading there always stays close to the shoreline and is quite straightforward to navigate. We managed to reach our destination in just 2 hours and 10 minutes by walking briskly. I suggest going there early so you can fully savor the beach, and don't forget to bring an ample supply of water.

The beach can only be reached by boat or if you're willing to camp there. It's hard to believe how people who posted here managed to get there in such a short time. We hiked up from Llogora main road near the campground, which took about 1 hour and 15 minutes and was relatively easy. When we reached Qafa e Thelle (the top of the mountain), a local tour guide informed us that it would take another 5 hours to descend to the bay. Although we were skeptical, we got scared and decided to walk back down. Our friends who camped there later confirmed that the hike down was indeed very long, so it's probably not possible to do it without spending the night. Make sure to bring enough water and be cautious of vipers (wear long pants). The gpx map on wikiloc seemed accurate to us, but the guide suggested that using a garmin would be better, especially for the descent to the bay. There is another route from the coast (green coast), but the security personnel there will try to convince you that you can't pass through. Due to the ongoing construction, it's difficult to identify the starting point of the hike. With that being said, the hike up was really enjoyable :)

The Bay is absolutely stunning, but the trek to get there is quite challenging! Make sure you have sturdy footwear, long pants to protect against the bushes and insects, and don't forget to bring plenty of water!! Alternatively, opting for a boat or jetski would definitely make the journey easier :)

The hike was quite challenging due to its considerable length and rocky terrain. It was necessary to be cautious with each step taken. The journey to the beach took approximately 2.5 hours, and the return trip took the same amount of time. However, the effort was well worth it as the beach was secluded, allowing us to have it all to ourselves. The beach's beauty was truly remarkable, and I would definitely undertake the hike again. It is advisable to bring sufficient water, snacks, and a lightweight backpack, rather than a heavy one like we did. It is best to only bring absolute essentials and avoid unnecessary items. We made the mistake of bringing two towels, two books, and a small chess board, which made the hike even more challenging than necessary.

I had the pleasure of visiting an absolutely stunning beach. The water is crystal clear, making it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Not only that, but the surrounding landscape is also breathtaking. The beach is nestled between two mountains, creating a gorgeous backdrop. It's worth mentioning that the beach is relatively small. Overall, this beach in Albania is a must-visit destination.
