The beachfront of Swansea is windy and wild, yet it holds its own charm. Although it may not be the most picturesque beach along the coast of Wales, the way it stretches out towards Mumbles, the city's curve, and the vast expanse of sand and beach make it a truly delightful place to visit.

There's a wonderful free car park located at the civic centre, allowing you to enjoy leisurely barefoot strolls along the beach. You can park for up to three hours without any charge.

I visited the beach in July during a hot wave weekend. The sandy shoreline gives the water a somewhat sandy appearance due to the waves, which is a common issue with beaches in the UK. The beach is located near the city, so it tends to attract a diverse range of people, from young to old. Unfortunately, there are no lockers available, so if you're going alone, you'll have to keep an eye on your belongings while swimming. If you're simply looking to cool off and don't mind the crowds, then it's a suitable option for you. However, if you prefer a less crowded experience, you may need to drive further as Wales has plenty of beaches along the coast.
