Ed Walline Beach

The beach offers a breathtaking view of the sunrise over the Gulf of Mexico, accompanied by a delightful breeze that sweeps across the water and reaches the shore. During my visit today, I had the pleasure of spotting Sandpipers and Seagulls.

We really enjoy going to Ed Walline Beach Access! There is a good amount of parking available, especially when compared to other access points. I believe there are three showers, and the bathrooms are nice too! During the season, there are lifeguards present, and the beach itself is usually quite spacious. It does get quite busy, as one would expect, but they manage the traffic well. Another great feature is the picnic area where we can take a break from the sun and enjoy our meals or just relax. And of course, we absolutely love having beach bonfires at this location!

The beach features a spacious and well-maintained restroom facility, allowing visitors to comfortably change into their swimsuits and even shower if desired. Access to the beach is provided through both steps and a ramp. While the beach itself is stunning, it tends to get quite crowded with people enjoying sunbathing. Unfortunately, during our visit, red flags were displayed, indicating the presence of strong waves and riptides, making it unsafe for wading or swimming. Violating this rule would result in a hefty fine of $500.00. Parking at the beach is limited, with only a few available spaces. A police officer directed us to go around to find parking, but we were disappointed when another car went in the wrong direction and took the spot we were aiming for. Surprisingly, we didn't come across any seashells on the beach, although the sand was clean and white. However, we did encounter several deceased Portuguese man o' war jellyfish on the shore.

The beach is absolutely stunning, with its expansive shoreline and pristine white sand. The beach access provides convenient amenities such as restrooms, a picnic pavilion, and showers. During our visit in January, finding parking was a breeze. However, with only 40-50 parking spaces available, it may become insufficient during the busiest times of the year. Nevertheless, strolling on the beach's soft sand was a delightful experience. We definitely plan on returning in the future.

Wow! I don't even know where to begin! This unexpected detour turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences! We had the pleasure of meeting some incredible individuals and were even treated to a beautiful serenade for our Anniversary. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and this destination has left an indelible mark in our hearts that we will cherish forever.
