Archibald Beach

The beach was incredibly clean! The sand felt soft under my feet. The water was warm and had a crystal-clear quality, resembling a swimming pool! I was captivated by the beautiful shells, sandbars, and sunsets. As a native New Yorker, we do have beaches, but this place was truly extraordinary!

This beach was pleasant and well-maintained. It had a decent number of visitors, but not an overwhelming crowd. The people there were considerate towards one another. When we visited in early June, there was a significant amount of kelp.

The beach is incredibly clean with a parking lot conveniently located at the intersection. As you stroll down the beach, you'll find people offering rentals for beach equipment and supplies. During the peak hours of the day, after sunrise and before sunset, you'll be treated to the breathtaking sight of beautiful blue colors. The water, although clear, may appear brown due to its clarity. Since it's on the Gulf side, it lacks the typical sea smell found on the East Coast. The sand is incredibly fine, resembling powder. Inserting a pole into the ground for an umbrella feels as solid as concrete. At high tide, there are wall partitions in the water that become covered. Please note the sign picturing the restrictions: no glass, fires, BBQs, camping, etc. If you're interested, parasailing is available. Today, manatees were spotted, but it's important to remember that touching them is illegal. As you admire the beach, you may also catch sight of schools of fish swimming by, both large and small. Additionally, there is an outdoor shower located at the entrance.

The beach is absolutely stunning, offering a breathtaking view of the sunset. The water is pleasantly warm, and there are plenty of beautiful shells to gather. Additionally, you can rent umbrellas and chairs, and there are convenient restroom and shower facilities nearby. On top of that, there's a fantastic bar and snack shop right on the beach. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted.

The beach is quite nice and well-maintained. You can rent chairs and umbrellas for $10 each, and the people who handle the rentals are fantastic, taking care of everything for you. It's a wonderful spot to enjoy some drinks at the snack shack, and they even had a band performing later in the day. The bathrooms are typical for beach facilities, with sandy and wet floors and sometimes long queues, but overall not too terrible.
