Having traveled far and wide, I can confidently say that Southern California is the ultimate destination. The only thing that could make it even more perfect is if the water temperatures were a bit warmer. Nevertheless, I am absolutely enamored with SoCal, particularly the North County region - it's my go-to spot. There's truly nothing like the beach in Oceanside. This idyllic beach boasts a pristine and unspoiled environment, with a refreshing lack of crowds - especially during the quieter months of the year, such as January. For those who work up an appetite while frolicking in the waves, there are various food vendors nearby, although if these don't tickle your fancy, there are plenty of restaurants in close proximity. Alternatively, why not try your hand at fishing from the pier and catch your own dinner?

This beach is great! On the southern end, there's a mix of sand and small rocks that kids will enjoy exploring. Additionally, there's a lengthy path for walking, biking, or renting family cycling carts. There are also many dining options available, and the beach park is a nice place to relax. I'll definitely be returning during the summer months!

Ideal for families, with a safe and clean environment. There are a few food vendors and shops available, and I even spotted some surfers. Surfing classes are also available. The pier is a popular fishing spot, particularly towards the back. Don't forget to apply sunscreen, even if it's not too hot - we learned the hard way and ended up getting burnt! 😄 Watching the sunset is a must-do, but be aware that crowds tend to gather later in the day.
