Every time we return from our Los Angeles excursions, we make a brief stop at this beach. This time, the kids had a blast discovering various sea creatures while we, the adults, enjoyed constructing rock towers. The stunning vistas were simply breathtaking, and we couldn't help but marvel at the natural beauty surrounding us.

This beach is renowned for its excellent surfing and has a rich history of producing long, peeling waves. You can park right at the shoreline and set up your picnic blanket to enjoy the beautiful scenery. It's important to arrive early, around 6am, to secure a spot as the beach fills up quickly. There are showers and restrooms located throughout the beach, and occasional fire pits. Just be cautious of the rocks in the water that can roll over your feet when the waves break at the shore. Take some time to relax and appreciate this gem of Southern California.

However, if you're hoping for a beach with a walking trail and volleyball courts, this might not be the place for you. The waves are perfect for long rides, and the locals are friendly and welcoming. It's best to arrive early and bring your surfboard and a positive attitude.
