Malibu Lagoon Beach

The scenery at this location is absolutely stunning. The shoreline is immaculate and there are fewer people around, making it a more serene experience. However, finding a parking spot can be a bit of a challenge.

After a long drive across the country, I was skeptical about the impact a beach could have on me, especially in the windy month of March. However, upon arriving at this beach, I was immediately filled with a sense of magic and spirituality that seemed to wash away any pain or stress I had been carrying with me. The beauty of this place is truly a testament to the grace of God, and I couldn't help but raise a glass to His majesty as I took in the stunning views. While the cost of gas to get here may seem daunting, the experience of gazing out at a breathtaking sunset makes it all worth it. This beach is a reminder that sometimes the best things in life really are free. Thank you, Malibu, for providing such a blessed and unforgettable experience.

Parking proved to be a challenge for my companions and I during our recent trip to the beach. I hope to share my experience to assist others in avoiding the same difficulties. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon to find the surrounding area flooded with cars and drivers who were not shy about expressing their impatience. There are two parking lots in the vicinity, one near the entrance which fills up quickly and charges $3 per hour. The other, a block down the street, charges $15 per day and was already full by the time we arrived at 11:30am. A few cars were backed up waiting for a spot to open up. I strongly advise against parking on the stretch of sidewalk between the two lots along PCH, as this area is not designated for parking and many cars were ticketed during our visit. Instead, we found legal street parking across the street and a bit further down, which was a 7-minute walk from the beach. This area can be located by searching for Malibu Coast Animal Hospital on GPS. Although still busy, we found the extra street parking to be less stressful and more spacious, with no time limit as long as we did not park overnight (parking is only restricted from midnight to 5am).

This beach is ideal for swimming and paddle boarding, with its calm waters, particularly near Malibu pier. There are two parking lots nearby, one at PCH and Cross Creek Rd, and another right next to the Adamson museum house heading towards Malibu Pier. From the Cross Creek entrance parking lot, it's a pleasant walk to reach the lagoon, passing by the Amrikha Pilgrimage Point of Refuge on the way to the beach.

The beach was truly stunning, boasting breathtaking views that captured the essence of natural beauty. It is a surfer's paradise, with rough waters that provide an exhilarating challenge. However, the water is quite chilly, perfect for those seeking a refreshing dip or a quick swim to cool off.
