I have visited many beaches, but this one stands out as the best. The water is refreshingly cold and invigorating, with waves that are just the right size for a fun challenge. The weather is ideal for quickly warming up after a dip, and the overall atmosphere is truly inspiring thanks to the presence of so many beautiful souls.

The beach was stunning, but the road leading to it was quite narrow, making it a bit of a challenge for inexperienced drivers. There was an entrance fee to access the beach, and we found two parking lots just a few minutes away. Despite the challenges, the beach was definitely worth it. It was a good size and we were able to walk from one end to the other. Although the water was freezing, we did see a few brave souls attempt to swim, but they quickly retreated back to shore.

The state beach park area is truly stunning. However, parking can be a bit challenging as there are only limited spots at the end of a windy 10-minute drive from Highway 1. A park ranger is present to inform visitors if the parking area is full, but you'll have to be quick to take advantage of any available spots. There's a designated waiting area at the entrance for this purpose. Despite the wait, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Big Sur!
