During our 10-night stay in Kaua'i, we spent five nights camping at Salt Pond Beach Park, which cost us $6 per night (although my partner wasn't entirely certain). The park itself is stunning, and the grassy camping area is equipped with picnic tables, showers, bathrooms, and even fresh portable water for drinking and cleaning dishes. Trash service is also provided, which is a nice touch. There's a designated swimming area for both adults and children, and although we went snorkeling, we didn't see much. However, the sunset was absolutely breathtaking, and the water was incredible. Overall, this was one of our favorite spots on the trip. We did notice some homeless families traveling between campsites, and while the state parks do close for cleaning and possibly to prevent long-term stays from homeless families, they tended to keep to themselves. It's worth noting that the park can get quite noisy and crowded with campers once the lifeguards leave for the night.

This beach is quite lovely and not too crowded. It's conveniently located with plenty of parking available. We've been here twice, and while it was a bit windy both times, the water was still quite enjoyable. The beach has a natural shelf that helps to keep the waves from getting too rough, and there are a few trees that provide some shade on the sand. Additionally, you'll find flush toilets, a lifeguard on duty, and covered tables where you can enjoy a nice lunch.

This beach is absolutely stunning! It features rocks that break the waves and form a small pond of seawater, which is perfect for families with young children to enjoy. The pond is incredibly serene and pristine. Additionally, there are picnic tables scattered throughout the park. We will definitely be returning to this beach in the future.

Kauai's best beach in my opinion! The sand and grassy areas are expansive, and it's not too crowded since it's tucked away. There's plenty of parking available, and there are several covered areas and trees for shade. Additionally, the offshore reef makes it an ideal spot for swimming.

This beach is really lovely and offers some fantastic snorkeling opportunities. It's sheltered by a rock barrier, which provides a sense of safety. You can enter the water from a sandy area, which is a welcome change from the rocky terrain of Poipou. The beach has bathroom facilities and a lifeguard on duty, making it a great option for families.
