We spent 10 days at a beachfront house in Moloa'a beach and it felt like we had the entire Kauai beach to ourselves. It's definitely the best kept secret on the island!

Out of all the beaches I visited in Kauai, this one was definitely my favorite. It strikes the perfect balance between sun, surf, and shade. I went in October 2022 and found that there was plenty of sun to enjoy. During high tide, the waves were tall and stunning to look at. Surfers will definitely appreciate the conditions here. Despite being a public beach, it's off the beaten path, so it's not likely to be crowded. On the left side of the beach is a lush tropical paradise that's perfect for exploring and taking photos. To the right, you'll find reefs and a section with calmer waters that are swimmable for confident swimmers. If you're a beginner, wear a life jacket and you can frolic freely in the waves without worry. The waves are high enough for boogie boarding or beginner surfing, but not so high that you'll be afraid. Depending on wave conditions, it's best to stay close to shore. The best part of the beach is all the trees that provide shade - no need for umbrellas. The sand is super soft and golden, and you can comfortably sit or lay down on it with ease. There's even a hammock in the shade, although I didn't have time to try it out. The only downsides are that there's no lifeguard on duty and no public restroom, so make sure to go before you arrive. Parking is also limited since it's in a residential area. If I had gone by myself, I would have stayed here the entire day and even slept on the beach. You can easily fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing and birds chirping without any distracting chatter from other people. It's easy to see why Kauai is called the honeymoon island, as many of the beaches are private and best enjoyed with someone special.

The beach is quite lovely, although the shaded areas are set back a bit from the water. However, there is a notice posted indicating that the water may contain an excessive amount of bacteria after rainfall.

The beach is lovely and you can take a dip in the water on the right side of the bay. However, there aren't any amenities available and parking spots are limited.

This beach is a unique and historical gem. It's tucked away on a small street with limited parking. Additionally, there is a fresh water source that flows into the beach.
