This beach is quite pleasant, but there are a fair amount of large rocks both on the beach and in the water, making it not the ideal spot for water play. It's also quite popular for walking, as there is a constant stream of people walking back and forth. It can get windy here, but at other times it can be quite deserted. The view of West Maui is stunning, and the south end is a great spot for snorkeling, as it shares the rocky point with Ulua, one of the best snorkeling spots in South Maui.

The morning brought calm, crystal-clear waters, perfect for snorkeling. There were plenty of fish and turtles to be seen. It was a short walk from the parking lot and the shower facilities. I arrived at 8am on a weekday and there was no one around. By noon, there were a lot of swimmers, but it was still a pleasant atmosphere. This is one of my favorite spots on the west side.

The beach in front of the Andaz Maui is a lovely spot, frequented by both hotel guests and locals. You can enjoy stunning views of the West Maui mountains and Lanai from the beach, and the sunsets are simply breathtaking every night. Plus, the snorkeling right off the beach is great, with plenty of marine life to be seen.
