The beach is absolutely stunning and tends to be quite crowded during the summer months. However, it's important to be cautious as some of the locals can be a bit aggressive.

This beach is quite nice, but after getting out of the water, we noticed an oily residue on our clothes. Once our clothes dried, it resembled rust. I'm relieved that I didn't go deeper than my waist!

I stumbled upon this beach while searching for a local spot to access Lake Michigan between Whitehall and Muskegon. Normally, we prefer beaches with lighthouses, so this was a new experience for me. Duck Lake State Park offers ample parking with two separate lots. A state park sticker is required, but there is a kiosk where you can purchase one if you don't already have it on your vehicle. Additionally, there is free parking along the main road. Vault toilets can be found near the parking area. A lovely wooden path leads down to the lake, where you can enjoy swimming in Lake Michigan or the small channel from Duck Lake, as well as climb the large sand dunes. I heard that there is a picnic area and restroom available further into the park, but I didn't explore that direction. On a Friday evening after 6pm, it was pleasantly quiet.

The beach is fantastic and there is a boardwalk that runs alongside the canal leading to Lake Michigan. Additionally, there are some lovely dune trails to explore. The vault toilets were well-maintained and clean. It's important to note that a state park pass is required, but I didn't have the chance to explore the other parts of the park.

The beach is absolutely lovely and well-maintained. There is a channel that connects to the lake, creating a shallow area that is perfect for children. The beach itself is quite spacious and the water is crystal clear. Restrooms are conveniently located in the parking area within the park. As for parking, you have the option to park on the side of the road and walk down to the beach for free. Alternatively, if you possess a recreational pass, you can park in the park area and access the beach through the trail. Even if you don't have the pass, you can still purchase a day pass at the entrance.
