This is a charming small beach with convenient water access for those who have difficulty walking. By the parking lot, there is a pleasant pavilion equipped with picnic tables and a few grills. Additionally, there is a pit lavatory available on site. The area features a single boat launch with a well-maintained dock. While the parking lot isn't very large, it does provide enough space to maneuver a truck with a trailer for parking.

When I visited, the weather was quite windy with intermittent rain. I had the whole beach to myself, which was a unique experience. There was ample parking available. The beach was adorned with an array of beautiful, smooth rocks in various shapes and colors. Since I was dressed appropriately for the weather, I thoroughly enjoyed my day. To top it off, I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a stunning, albeit brief, rainbow 🌈.

ROCK HOUNDERS will absolutely adore this expansive beach. I visited on the first Saturday after Labor Day and was surprised by how empty it was! Not that I'm complaining, but a beach as stunning as this one is usually quite busy. It's a fairly large beach (from end to end), so it would likely take a lot of people to make it feel crowded. The park features a nice pavilion, a few charcoal grills, a bench near the water in the sand, a vaulted toilet, and a boat ramp for loading and unloading boats. The only potential downside is the parking situation, as there didn't seem to be much available given the park's size. I highly recommend visiting this beach, even if you're not into rock hunting, but simply enjoy relaxing by the water.

This past weekend, we traveled up to the UP and stopped at this place to camp for the night. It was an awesome little spot to sleep. The water was calm, the weather was beautiful, and the water was crystal blue.

A stunning beach with crystal-clear water, offering free parking and restroom facilities. The swimming experience is fantastic, though the water is a bit chilly. The sunsets are lovely.
