The city is poorly managed and dirty. Despite signs prohibiting alcohol and pets on the beach, both are prevalent everywhere. Additionally, the authorities seem more interested in generating revenue, as they issue $150 tickets for cars.

This beach is absolutely amazing and spacious! I've ridden my bike here several times since I don't live too far from Lake Forest. Residing in Waukegan, Illinois, I took my e-bike on a 7-mile journey to visit this beach, and the lake is stunning. You can see everything, including the Waukegan skyline and the Waukegan Generating Station with its three smoke stacks. The only downside is the parking situation and the $25 fee to enter the beach. You can't park close to the beach unless you have a city sticker. If you want to park for free, you'll have to park a mile away, which is a 30-minute walk from the downtown area. But despite that, this beach is amazing! 😍✨💙

Stunning and tranquil beach. An excellent spot to witness a sunrise and listen to the waves crashing on the shore. The air is invigorating and calming. I'm happy I decided to stop by and visit.

Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend... but make sure to get a parking pass! Even in freezing temperatures, this park is stunning. The beach feels different after spending so much time in Florida, but it's still nice. The breakers are well-maintained. I had a lovely walk. However, the playground didn't keep my 9-year-old entertained for long. He said it was "too small." I bet it's a fantastic sight in the summer.

The ambiance was incredibly serene, making it the perfect spot for a walk along the shore. The highlight for me was the playground located right on the beach – it was simply awesome! One thing to note is that the beach seems to be exclusive to residents, which can be seen as a downside for non-residents. However, I can understand why it's a major upside for residents, as having a private beach would be an incredible selling point. The exclusivity certainly adds to the overall sense of privacy. Another noteworthy aspect of Lake Forest Beach is its cleanliness. The beach was immaculate, indicating a high level of care and maintenance. It's always refreshing to visit a beach that is well-kept and inviting. If you're fortunate enough to have access, it's definitely worth taking advantage of this hidden gem!
