Ideal beach for unwinding. We visited midweek to watch the sunset, and it was a delightful experience. After enduring a week of temperatures in the high 90s, it was refreshing to stroll around with a light jacket. The views were stunning, and there was ample parking. The parking lot is adjacent to the beach, so you can get there quickly. The beach itself was clean and enjoyable to walk on, and it wasn't crowded at all. There was a restaurant and a residents-only section that we didn't have the chance to fully explore, but locals mentioned it's even nicer. We would happily return.

Duxbury Beach is very nice and spacious. There is a public parking area that costs $20, cash only—consider yourself warned. The residents have their own access area, including parking on the beach towards the south. The water here is a bit warmer compared to other parts of the nearby coast, but it's still frigid Atlantic water once you are a foot deep. Besides my fish picture, the beach is well-maintained and accessible. There is the longest wooden bridge in the Northeast, which was a bit scary to drive over as you can hear the planks wobble under the car's weight (we survived). While at the beach, a state police officer alerted everyone of a fin sighting. About 10 minutes later, a police helicopter was patrolling up and down the coast. It was very professional and worth the $20 after all.

4 Frustrating

The parking fee is $20, which is quite steep given the state of the facilities. The bathrooms are untidy, and the pavilion offers only candy, soft drinks, and ice cream. Additionally, the staff are not very welcoming, and the beach is one of the smallest I've encountered.

I had a wonderful Sunday at this beach. The water was fantastic, and I felt like a fish swimming in it. My only wish is that there were fewer stones, as they made it difficult to walk.

Lovely, picturesque beach with convenient access from Duxbury and Marshville. The beach boasts very fine white sand, perfect for a leisurely stroll. It's also well-protected thanks to the presence of endangered wildlife and nesting birds such as the Piping Plover and Least Tern. This beach stands as a testament to successful conservation efforts in the US.
