This beach is still located within the city limits, but it offers a peaceful atmosphere compared to downtown Virginia Beach. However, there is a trade-off. The area is primarily residential, with a few beach houses available for rent and only a handful of commercial establishments. These include one restaurant, a small grocery store, an ice cream shop, and a few small beach shops. Parking is conveniently located directly across the street from the beach, and there is a bath house available. For non-residents, the September rate for all-day parking is $5. Alternatively, you can find free parking along the road, but keep in mind that there are no restrooms or other amenities available, and they tend to fill up quickly on weekends or during the tourist season. Additionally, there are no gas stations within several miles, so it's important to ensure that you have enough fuel in your tank to return to the city.

The beach is absolutely stunning, with pristine cleanliness and a pleasantly low number of people, providing a sense of privacy that I truly enjoyed. It was a wonderful experience! However, the cell service here is quite poor.

The beach is absolutely stunning, and the water is noticeably clearer compared to VA Beach. The water felt refreshingly cooler, possibly due to its faster depth increase. Moreover, it's not as crowded as VA Beach, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We were thrilled to discover numerous intact seashells, and my family and I had an incredible time here. We're grateful that we decided to venture from the boardwalk to explore this beach. The 30-minute drive was definitely worth it! Additionally, we even encountered a young man strolling along the beach, selling pizza slices at a much more affordable price than those on the boardwalk.

The beach is pleasant and kept in good condition. It is not overly crowded, and certain streets have wooden walkways to facilitate carrying belongings to and from the beach. Finding parking is relatively effortless, and there are no parking meters.
