Wonderful Beach very relaxing , a place of zen and to unwind. Nature is calling you here. Theres a lot of hiking trails and history. A must see because its a place where its roots havent changed. So you can get a feel of how it was many years ago by visiting this very special beach.
I have stayed here for three days, I ended up surfing on this beach on a shortboard for three days. The waves where long, and fun, usually the wind died down down in the late afternoon, and the conditions improved further. There was another surfer, he said that this beach has quite often surfable waves when the north wind blows (metlamia). Overly quite please with this beach. The bottom is sandy.
This beach is simply stunning, boasting a pristine and well-maintained stretch of sand that has been awarded the prestigious blue flag. It's widely regarded as one of the top beaches on the island, and it's easy to see why. The bar is a great spot to grab a refreshing drink or a bite to eat, and I had the pleasure of visiting this idyllic spot both in 2021 and 2022.
This beach has become my absolute favourite spot on the island. It's a bit of a hidden gem, tucked away from the harsh northerly winds, and I can't seem to comprehend how it manages to stay so sheltered. It's almost like a secret oasis, with its secluded location requiring a trek down a long set of stairs and over a hill, past a quaint church. As a result, it's blissfully less crowded with tourists, which is a definite plus in my books. The water is serene, with a pristine clarity that's simply breathtaking. And to top it all off, the beach bar is nothing short of fabulous.
There are two ways to access the beach. One is through the large rocks, where you can't set up an umbrella and must enter the sea by either diving or slowly climbing down the rocks. This area is not recommended for families with small children. The other access point is from the road, where there is a ladder leading down to the sandy beach. In the sea, there are many slippery pebbles, so special shoes are necessary. The water is clear.
This serene beach has a tranquil atmosphere, but unfortunately lacks any natural shade. The pebbled sea bed adds a unique touch to the crystal clear waters, however, accessing the beach may prove to be a challenge as it requires a short walk from the parking area to the shoreline.
