This beach is absolutely stunning! The scenery is breathtaking, making it feel like a tropical paradise in Crete. You have the opportunity to take a stroll along the river and even swim in it, as well as explore the palm forest. It's definitely worth a visit and shouldn't be missed. If you want to avoid the 382 steps, a simpler way to get there is to drive to Dionysos beach and walk for just 8 minutes to reach Preveli beach.
For those seeking a peaceful seaside escape with authentic Greek cuisine, Nayagos Beach is a must-visit. The beach boasts fine, gray pebbles that add to its natural charm.
In 2022 I was there for the first time. I found peace and solace that I needed so much at that time. I came back in May 2023. And I want to go back there
What a charming little beach, with water so clear you can see the fish swimming below. However, don't be fooled by its innocent appearance - getting in and out of the water is no easy feat. But fear not, for the stunning vistas of the bay that surround you are worth the effort.
This serene and immaculate beach is a true gem, boasting a tranquil atmosphere and stunning natural beauty. The peaceful sea is devoid of any rough waves, making it perfect for a serene swim. Our entire family of five visited on September 24th, 2019, and were delighted to find easy access to the beach and free offshore parking. Initially, we mistook it for the nearby Trioptra beach, but were pleasantly surprised to discover this smaller, yet equally enjoyable beach. We relished in the calm and crystal-clear waters, taking in the picturesque scenery while lounging under the shade of a nearby tree. From our vantage point, we could admire the Trioptra rocks from a distance, and basked in the idyllic weather. Eventually, we made our way to the larger Triopatra beach, where we were able to get a closer look at the three iconic rocks. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at this hidden paradise and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful and beautiful beach getaway.
The beach is small and pleasant. There are two routes to get here, with one being slightly more rugged than the other. The longer route, which is shown on Google maps, is mostly paved but still has a short off-road section towards the end. In the summertime, the beach offers shaded areas starting from 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
