Adrina beach

This is our second year visiting and the hotel is definitely worth a visit, especially because of the friendly staff. The beach has pebbles and the water is crystal clear. We stayed at the Adriana Beach hotel, which is built on a hillside. It can be a bit challenging to walk back to the rooms, but they do have a golf buggy available for those who prefer an easier option. It's worth considering taking the water taxi from skiathos port, although it is a bit expensive at 150 euros each way. However, if there are four of you, it's more cost-effective than taking the flying dolphin ferry and a taxi. The food choices at the hotel were acceptable, but they leaned more towards international cuisine rather than Greek. If you're looking for some excellent tavernas, there are a few on Panorma Beach, which is just a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The only disappointment was that, considering it's a family-run hotel, the family themselves were not very visible. Despite that, we definitely plan on going back. 😎👍🥂

Skopelos Port beach

This is a great place to stay in Skopelos. It's a very nice place in a fantastic location. It's only a one-minute walk from the main riviera and a one-minute walk to the beach. There's also a shop right across the street. If you need to rent a scooter or ATV, there's a nearby rental place called Magicars and they are fair. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to use the pool because it's closed in the afternoons when we had free time. Additionally, there's currently no bar service at the pool, most likely due to the pandemic. The room was even nicer than it looked in the pictures and it had air conditioning, a small balcony, and a fridge. The bathroom was spacious and clean and it even had a bathtub. The flush in the toilet was broken, but they were able to fix it the same day. The staff was extremely friendly, but that's generally the case with Greeks. Breakfast is available for 5 euros and it's a basic continental breakfast with pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt, ham, and cheese. One inconvenience we experienced was that you can't precool the air conditioning by leaving it on while you're not in the room. It only runs when you're in the room, which was especially inconvenient during the recent heatwave in Greece, which was the worst in the last 30 years.

Kastani beach

Upon our arrival via an island hopping boat excursion, we stumbled upon a hidden gem of a beach nestled within a petite bay. The beach boasted sun beds and patches of sand, all surrounded by crystal clear waters that beckoned for a refreshing dip. Although a beach bar was available, the prices were quite steep and the food options were rather standard and lacked inspiration. Nevertheless, this beach remains a popular destination, largely due to its feature in the beloved film Mama Mia.

Panormos beach

This beach is the bee's knees! It's conveniently located just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the road, and there's a market nearby where you can snag some refreshingly cheap drinks. The water is crystal clear and the pebbles on the sea floor make for a cozy spot to plop down and soak up the sun. But the real cherry on top? The free sun beds and umbrellas, courtesy of the tavern Rigas (just make sure to order something, it's only polite). And if you need to take care of business, there's a toilet on site and even a fresh water hose. Plus, for added safety, there's a lifeguard keeping watch. Move over five-star ratings, this beach deserves six!

Stafilos beach

This stunning beach is located just a short 10-15 minute drive from Chora, making it the perfect spot for a refreshing dip after arriving on the island. The crystal-clear waters are pristine and inviting, providing a serene oasis for relaxation and rejuvenation. While there may be another beach nearby named Velanio, in my personal opinion, Stafylos is the superior option with its unparalleled beauty and tranquility.

Limnonari beach

Upon first glance, this seaside destination appears to be quite pleasant with its inviting waters. However, upon closer inspection, one may notice that the beach is covered in pebbles and swarming with pesky flies and bees during the day, followed by a swarm of mosquitoes in the evening. Although it would be acceptable if this were a public space, it is not. The owners charge a steep price for beverages, play noisy music, and are generally unfriendly.
