I stayed at the hotel as a guest with the Bhejane Pondoland Adventure group. We checked in on 28.04.2024 and checked out on 30.04.2024. Nothing could have prepared me for the condition of the room I received. If I had made the bookings myself, this is not a hotel I would have chosen. During my stay, the hotel was completely run down and visibly dirty, to say the least. A deep cleaning, hiring a professional chef, and bringing in professional hospitality management to run the place would be a good starting point. A complete facelift is essential. The location of the hotel is great with respect to the ocean view, etc.
What an amazing experience! I had always dreamed of visiting this place, and at the age of 57, my daughter and I finally made the journey. We swam across the river and crossed to the other side, just like Moses and his men. When we finally arrived, we were overjoyed and excited to see our family members. However, it's important to wear proper shoes and be careful around the hot rocks near the hole. Walking barefoot can be quite painful. Despite this, I would definitely do it again. The Whole in the Hall hotel serves excellent food, and their staff and manager are very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend making a booking - you won't regret it.
Within 50 meters of the beach, you can spot dolphins and whales from the cottage deck. The rock pools by the beach offer a beautiful sunrise view. The location is very private, and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. It's an excellent spot for hiking and one of the most beautiful places in South Africa.
The Wildcoast is truly a gem when it comes to beaches, offering an unparalleled experience that is sure to leave you in awe. The stunning scenery and crystal-clear waters make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Every moment spent on this beach is worth it, as you'll be treated to some of the most breathtaking views nature has to offer. So if you're looking for a truly unforgettable beach experience, the Wildcoast is definitely the place to be.
Unsafe environment. There is a shabeen on the premises, and someone was stabbed just outside the open gate. Non-guests frequently wander around the area, indicating a lack of security. The management is poor, and the accommodation is subpar. There is no electricity at night, no towels, no fan, an old bed, and the food is of poor quality. Overall, it was a bad experience. The owner did not refund the agreed amount, which should have been a full refund in any case. Terrible place. Go somewhere else. *I promise to amend this post if the owner addresses any of these issues, but we have heard nothing so far.
This beach is absolutely stunning, pristine, and peaceful, especially during public holidays when the main beach gets crowded. It offers the perfect escape with caves providing shade and a mini waterfall cascading from the rocks. Additionally, there's a natural rock pool where you can relax and unwind.
